HOW TO HELP

From the moment the idea of HardtHaven was born until today we rely on financial support from donors. Next to that we receive donations like food, clothes, medication and personal care items from the community and international volunteers throughout the year. Without the friends of HardtHaven we would not be where we are today.

VOLUNTEER WITH HARDTHAVEN

As a volunteer at HardtHaven you can strengthen our team by assisting in the after-school activity schedule. Depending on your background we can also involve you in various projects like Early Childhood Development, and updating the children’s Social Plans and Individual Education Plans. Volunteering at HardtHaven is coordinated through our sister organization UNiTED and often combined with other volunteer opportunities in the communities.

BECOME A MONTHLY SPONSOR

We are able to provide each child that lives in our home a safe, healthy and happy life through the financial support of monthly sponsors. Sponsors support the children’s daily care from basic needs and personal hygiene, to health care, nutrition to education. If you are in the U.S, Canada or anywhere outside Europe, you can sign up to be a monthly sponsor. If you are in Europe please email [email protected] for more information. In return for supporting our children sponsors receive periodic messages from the children they help.

DONATE ONE TIME AMOUNT

Any amount donated to HardtHaven goes directly to benefit the home’s activities; amounts can be donated towards a specific goal or for the general upkeep of the home.

ORGANIZE A FUNDRAISER

For events like Christmas, Easter and other celebrations, and for specialist care like a surgery we approach our network to help raise the needed funds; independent people and organizations also approach us in helping to accomplish our goals.

SEND A PACKAGE

Most volunteers collect donations for the children’s basic care before coming to Ghana; occasionally people send packages with donations. For more information on the home’s specific needs, please reach out.
