Residence in a safe, stable and loving environment is offered as a long-term solution to children who cannot survive with community based care alone; once the children reside in the home they will continue to be cared for and financially supported until they are self-sufficient.
For severely malnourished children with serious health concerns we have a rehabilitation room for the caregiver and the child to stay up to one month; during this time they receive education on and support in the abovementioned topics.
For the HIV+ children and their caregivers we have set up a program that monitors each person’s health and response to therapy through monthly doctor’s consultations.
Through this program we provide children and their families with support in and counseling on basic needs, education, health care and nutrition.
From the moment the idea of HardtHaven was born until today we rely on financial support from donors. Next to that we receive support in basic needs through donations from the community and international volunteers through out the year. Our international volunteers also support the children’s home with our assistance in our after school activities. Learn more about how to help …
